[link]I - being in the sweltering open-oven heat of Phoenix - of all people know that summers not out yet, nor am I returning to any state learning institutions over-priced semester. But the air is thick with change and I cant help but feel that things will never be the same again. Of course, as in all things, this is both good and bad. On the good side, something new is always on the horizon... on the bad side, Im singing Boys of Summer out loud, and only rarely in key. But then, not all of you are physically around to hear it (so its not all bad, is it?); some of you are moving away, others have new lives to begin or worlds to invest more time in. Time is short, money is tight, and priorities sway. I myself am in the throws of buying a new house (unless it all suddenly goes south) which will be taking up much of the time myself and my girlfriend would normally have for other excursions and creativity (so if seems at all like I am on sabbatical, take heart, as I am always near and am always planning creativity and fun). But if all goes well, Ill be happily starting a new trek of my own in a 1964 tri-level, and Ill return to my art and hopefully writing with renewed vigor. None of you are ever far from my mind, and Im always looking forward to either seeing you, or the creativity your devious minds have spawned.
No, Ill being seeing you very soon, my friends. Poor me a glass, the next rounds on me.
Best wishes,
Scott P. 'Doc' Vaughn
