This was a commissioned piece by Spaz-Dog Comics and Jesse James Comics .com here in Phoenix/Glendale AZ, part of a surprise ash-can (called here the 'Raven Gregory Ass-can') printed up and presented to Raven Gregory of Zenescope Comics for his 100th issue. I was assigned a pinup of his series 'The Waking', a zombie tale (obviously). Worked with some great talent here including Mike Debalfo ~SquirrelShaver who did the cover.
