Artist's Comments

Years back I met the beatiful and talented model/actress Sara Barrett [link] at ComicCon and she asked me to draw her in my own fashion with a fantasy theme, hence this piece: [link] Its always been one of my faves, so it was with great pleasure that I found her name in my email basket again recently and have lined up this sequel piece and at least one other project utilizing her amazing form... I did this as kind of a little excersize to re-acquaint myself with drawing Sara, and while it is imperfect (I didn't capture the brightness of her eyes as I'd have liked, for one thing), it was a fun little piece to do... Enjoy.

Really nice. :D Only thing I have to mention is that you should darken it, so the black areas will look completely black. And well, maybe fill in something in those purely white areas. ;)

Good work, man!

Nice work. The hai-line seems a bit off though, her brow a bit too broad, especially on the one side. I do like the dragon.

Thanks.... I like her too :)

I followed her photo pretty close, but yeah, now that I look at it, you're right. I'll have to touch that up. Funny what works in one medium looks wonky in another...
Thanks!

Ah, the problems on online media; my monitor looks just right, my wife's it looks too light, my work monitor is waay dark... I don't want to darken it too much more in terms of contrast, as I lose line definition. I'll have to see what I can do...
Thanks!

Yeah, when monitors are displaying wrong darkness level, it's not got. Hehe. Well, the thing is that it looks less finished when it's not darkened, you see. (Even if the amount of work is the same.) ;)
