Doctor WHO - Last of the Time Lords -- COLOR

Fan Art of my favorite show of all time, Dr. WHO; in particular the latest Series/season and the long-standing rivalry of the Doctor and the Master...
I would have thrown in a few more incarnations of each of the characters of the Doctor and the Master, but I ran out of room!
Pictured actors: Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, David Tennant as The Doctor, Sir Derick Jacobi as Professor Yana, & Roger Delgado, Peter Pratt (sort of), Anthony Ainley and John Simm as The Master.

Pen & Ink (micron), 8x10-ish, colored in Adobe Photoshop with channels, layers, Wacom, and a number of cheats, including my Police Box banner which is a scan from a photo.
2007 about 12-15 hours total

The master should have a goatee

That is a cool color blue! The orange sets it off nicely. The colors of the clothing are really good, too. Still don't know much about it, but the picture is good. =)

Thanks very much.... this was a lot of fun, for a 'quickie' that ended up being anything but. I'm really pleased with my inkwork and color matching on this one, but I also could have REALLY digitally painted away at this for HOURS more if I was really insane. In the end, this was the look I was going for, though....
The Doctor and the Master are rival Time Lords - each having the power to regenerate their bodies if 'killed', changing their appearance and personality somewhat in the process (hence the longevity of the series - over 40 years now!). Some of the Ten Doctors are on the left... The Master on the right. The Time Lords are a race of beings who vowed never to interphere in the history of others', but the Doctor saw wrongs that he could right across the stars and centuries, so he travels to that end... But his boyhood friend, the Master, saw a different angle on leaving their home world of Gallifrey; 'Master of all Matter'.... Their bitter rivalry is now the stuff of Moriarty and Holmes, Yin and Yang, etc....

Really fantastic job on the inking - all of the faces have so much depth and character (Jon Pertwee especially)! I love the expressions too; Tom Baker, and Anthony Ainley are probably my favorite - though they're all great. The coloring turned out really nice also! I agree with one of the above comments that the blue with the orange flames is really eye catching. I always love your Doctor Who pieces - and this is no exception!! (You'll be happy to know that I've got the first episodes of #9 on the way from Netflix... I'll catch up very soon!)

Brilliant stuff.
I love the composition and Derek Jacobi's face is superbly rendered.
Love it.
