Elvgren's Labyrinth

This is the final version of a piece I've been working on to show at the Phoenix ComiCon. I'll have all sorts of prints and such for sale at my table there, and wanted to finish some new fan-based art in time for the event. This one is, of course, based on the 80's Jim Henson/Frank Oz/Brian Froud etc etc etc fantasy film, 'Labyrinth.' Jennifer Connely is such a classic pin-up girl, it seemed fitting to depict her in a 50's-ish-style moment of... hardship. The pose is based on a specific pin-up by Gil Elvren, one of the masters of his time and genre. [link]
